Feed consumption monitoring may provide important information on disease problems. If, for example, pigs are plagued by diarrhoea, reducing the protein content of the feed for a while may alleviate the problem. A quick and precise control of feed mix and quantity is one of the most important management tools for the pig producers.
Always fresh feed directly to the pigs. This is the philosophy behind the ingenious residueless ACO Funki liquid feeding system. Only freshly mixed feed is distributed to the pigs as pipes are pumped clean after each distribution. In old-fashioned systems, feed stays in the pipe circuits between distributions, meaning that important amino acids and proteins are degraded and the pigs do not receive the intended feed mix.

Always fresh feed to the pigs. This is the philosophy behind ACO Funki`s newly-developed liquid feeding control unit. Freshly mixed feed ensures that the pigs receive feed of the intended mix, thus improving welfare and growth. The financial profit depends on the residual quantity in the pipe circuit compared to the distribution quantity as well as the amount of time feed remains in the pipe between each distribution. Tests have shown a financial profit of EUR 0.55 to 0.80 per weaner and EUR 1.10 to 1.50 per finisher.

The user-friendly FunkiNet control unit allows selected consultants on-line access to system data, thus ensuring that "on-the-spot" advice is immediately transferred to changes in the feed strategy by pen or by section.
FunkiNet® Pocket adjusts feed quantity and number of pigs in the house. With a wireless network remote control is also possible and the operating status of individual systems can be displayed.
