FarmerLight is the first lamp globally to utilize a unique combination of UV wavelengths that are harmless to humans and animals while lethal to bacteria. By selectively employing the four wavelengths, the lamp ensures maximum bacterial control without adverse effects on livestock or farmers.
In a scientific experiment, it was shown that ND3 significantly impacts the number of live-born piglets. It was also found that the transfer of synthetic SD3 from the sow to the piglet through breast milk is very low, regardless of the amount of SD3 the sows receive in their feed.
If the animals receive too much SD3 in their feed, they automatically block its absorption due to toxicity.
This is not the case with ND3, which is created in the plasma via photosynthesis. ND3 plays a crucial role in the immune system and bone development. There is a great need to investigate the DIL™ (Direct Intelligent Light - lamp) and its impact on ND3 status, including the immune system and bone development in newborn piglets, to improve their long-term viability.
Piglets first receive their ND3 vitamin through breast milk. Therefore, it is essential that the sow has as high ND3 levels in its plasma as possible and consequently in its breast milk.
