Combined mating and gestation box for sows
Free Access Box
The Free Access Box is a combined mating and gestation unit. It focuses on safety, optimizing space, and animal welfare. The free access box has been designed and improved over the years to ensure the sows’ safety and minimize aggression during feeding.
The box gives more space for a sow in a smaller area than other boxes in the market. Two sows can not go into the box simultaneously because we designed the box with a unique locking system. It is possible to lock one box or all the boxes at once, either automatically or manually.
Furthermore, the flexible tie rod ensures the sow can always come out without getting hurt.
Advantages of the combined mating and gestation box:
- All parts are designed with a focus on animal welfare
- Possible to group sows immediately after weaning
- No pipes above the sow; easy insemination
- You can reach three sows from the same position
- Two sows cannot enter the box at the same time
- It means they are calmer during feeding
